Prototype vs Proof of Concept vs MVP.
Choose between a clickable prototype, a technical proof of concept and a functional MVP based on what you need to learn before investing.
01 /
Prototype: test the experience
A prototype demonstrates screens and navigation. It helps test whether people understand the flow. It may have no working backend and should not be presented as a complete live product.
02 /
Proof of concept: test feasibility
A proof of concept answers a technical question, such as whether an API exposes the right data or whether a model can extract a required field. It can be useful without a polished interface.
03 /
MVP: test a useful workflow
A functional MVP lets the intended user complete a limited task. Readiness for public use depends on security, data, reliability and deployment requirements, not merely the existence of working screens.
04 /
Choose the uncertainty to resolve
If navigation is unclear, prototype it. If technology is uncertain, test feasibility. If the core task is understood and feasible, build a focused MVP. We confirm the appropriate free-sprint deliverable before accepting an application.
From brief to review
A focused sprint, a clear next step.
01
Agree the scope
We review your brief, choose one workflow and confirm eligibility, inputs and the delivery date.
02
Design and build
We implement the agreed journey using sample or approved test data.
03
Test and deploy
We check the acceptance criteria and deploy a limited review environment.
04
Review and decide
You try the build, discuss feedback and decide whether to commission the full project.
Questions before your first build.
What is included in the free MVP?
An agreed, limited version of one core workflow, deployed for review. We confirm the screens, functionality, data and exclusions in writing before the build starts. The complete product is a separate paid engagement.
When do the seven working days start?
After we accept the application, agree the scope and receive the required content, access and sample data. Delivery is within seven working days of the agreed kickoff. We confirm the date in writing; applying does not reserve an immediate start.
When do I pay?
There is no upfront development payment for the agreed free MVP. You review the build before deciding on the paid project. Pricing, milestones and any third-party costs are agreed separately before paid work begins.
Who owns the code?
Source-code handover, intellectual property and the review environment's availability are agreed in writing before the build. We explain what you receive during review and what is handed over with the paid project.
What if I decide not to continue?
You owe nothing for the agreed free MVP if you decide not to proceed. Source-code handover and ongoing access to the review deployment are agreed separately; the free build does not automatically include a source-code transfer.
Can every product be built in seven days?
No. The offer covers a focused workflow that fits the agreed sprint. Full ERP rollouts, regulated production systems, complex migrations, public app-store approvals and large integrations require a separate scope and timeline.
Can I apply from outside India?
Yes. Drema's engineering team is based in Noida, India. We agree a remote review schedule, delivery environment and communication plan with international founders before starting.
