Events & Ticketing.
Sell out without falling over.
Drema builds event and ticketing platforms: on-sale handling, seat selection, digital passes, gate validation and attendee experience. We built PetPujaris, a Mumbai social dining community, so the softer side — curation, RSVP and getting a first-timer to actually turn up — is familiar ground too.
What this sector
actually deals with.
The on-sale is the whole business and it lasts ninety seconds. Sites collapse under it, or oversell because inventory was not held atomically. At the venue, entry queues form because validation is slow or the scanner has no signal.
Systems this sector
keeps needing.
The parts of a events & ticketing platform that carry the weight. Not everything at once — we build the one that unblocks you first.
Ticketing and inventory
Atomic allocation with holds and expiry so a seat cannot be sold twice.
On-sale queueing
A fair virtual queue that protects the system and sets honest expectations.
Seat selection
Interactive maps that stay responsive as inventory changes underneath.
Access control
Offline-capable scanning at the gate with anti-passback.
Attendee and community apps
Schedules, RSVPs, updates and networking.
Where the work
pays for itself.
The problems events & ticketing teams bring us most often. If one of these is costing you money today, it is worth a conversation.
High-demand on-sales
Surviving the ninety seconds that decide the revenue.
Community events
Curated, smaller-format gatherings, as with PetPujaris.
Conferences
Multi-track schedules, personal agendas and networking.
Venue operations
Fast, reliable entry validation independent of venue wifi.

What shapes a build
in this sector.
These are the things a generalist team discovers late and prices badly. We design around them from the first week.
- Extreme burst load concentrated in seconds
- Anti-scalping and transfer controls
- Refund and cancellation obligations
- Venue connectivity that frequently fails at the gate
How we usually
engage here.
The services events & ticketing clients most often start with.
Events & Ticketing
questions.
Straight answers, including where we are not the right team.
Can the platform survive a big on-sale?
That is the specific thing it must be designed for. A virtual queue, atomic inventory allocation, aggressive caching of everything non-personalised, and load testing at several times expected demand. Ordinary web architecture does not survive this pattern.
Does gate scanning work without internet?
Yes. Scanners hold a local copy of valid tickets and sync afterwards, with anti-passback to prevent one ticket entering twice. Venue wifi fails often enough that offline capability is mandatory.
How do you prevent scalping?
Purchase limits, identity binding, controlled transfer and bot detection at the queue. It cannot be eliminated, but it can be made expensive enough to change the economics.
Can you handle refunds and cancellations?
Yes, including partial refunds, event postponement and credit handling — the paths that are ignored until an event is cancelled and then urgently needed.
