Retail.
One stock number, true in every channel.
Drema builds retail systems where the recurring problem is inventory truth. Point of sale, warehouse, marketplace and website each hold a version of stock, and the gaps between them become overselling, dead capital and cancelled orders. We build the layer that makes one number authoritative.
What this sector
actually deals with.
Stock says twelve, the shelf has three. Online sells what the store already sold. Promotions are priced differently by channel. Staff trust their own count over the system, which is a rational response to a system that has been wrong before.
Systems this sector
keeps needing.
The parts of a retail platform that carry the weight. Not everything at once — we build the one that unblocks you first.
Unified inventory
One authoritative stock position with event-driven updates to every channel.
Order management
Routing, split shipments, click-and-collect and returns across locations.
POS integration
Store sales reflected centrally in near real time rather than as a nightly batch.
Pricing and promotions
Rules applied consistently across channels, with an audit of what applied when.
Loyalty and customer data
One customer record spanning store and online purchases.
Where the work
pays for itself.
The problems retail teams bring us most often. If one of these is costing you money today, it is worth a conversation.
Omnichannel fulfilment
Selling from store stock online without risking overselling.
Stock accuracy programmes
Cycle counting and variance analysis that find where stock is lost.
Store operations apps
Tasks, planograms and replenishment for floor staff on handhelds.
Loyalty across channels
Recognising the same customer in store and online.

What shapes a build
in this sector.
These are the things a generalist team discovers late and prices badly. We design around them from the first week.
- GST invoicing and e-invoicing requirements
- Peak-season traffic and transaction spikes
- In-store connectivity that cannot be assumed reliable
- Returns and refund handling across channels
How we usually
engage here.
The services retail clients most often start with.
Retail
questions.
Straight answers, including where we are not the right team.
How do you stop overselling across channels?
One source of truth for stock, with event-driven updates rather than periodic syncs, plus soft reservations at the point an order starts. Batch sync between channels is the single most common cause of overselling we see.
Can you integrate our existing POS?
Usually. Most POS vendors offer an API or at minimum an export, and where they offer neither we integrate at the database or file level. We assess this early because it can determine the whole architecture.
Do we need to replace our ERP?
Rarely. We more often build the integration and channel layer around an ERP that is doing its job adequately, which is faster and much lower risk than a replacement.
How do you handle peak-season load?
Load testing against realistic peak profiles well before the season, with caching and queueing for the paths that spike. Sale-day capacity is planned for, not discovered.
